May 31, 2026Event Recap / GeneralWhat an unforgettable day we experienced at Inland Lighthouse Church during our annual All Nations Sunday celebration! From the moment guests arrived, the campus was alive with color, excitement, and activity. The decorations throughout the sanctuary, foyer, fellowship hall, breezeway, and outdoor areas transformed the church into a beautiful celebration of the many nations and cultures represented in our church family. The colorful umbrellas over the tasting booths created an incredible atmosphere and made the entire event feel festive and welcoming.A special thank you goes to everyone who worked so hard to make the decorations a reality. So many people invested countless hours into planning, building, decorating, and preparing. We would especially like to thank Sister Amanda Thomas for her vision, leadership, creativity, and tremendous effort in helping bring this special day to life. The food was absolutely amazing! Following service, guests enjoyed eleven international tasting booths featuring incredible dishes from around the world. The competition was fierce, the flavors were outstanding, and the booths were beautifully presented. Congratulations to all of our contest winners! We also want to give a special thank you to Sister Leah and her team for preparing the delicious main meal served in the fellowship hall. It was exceptional and enjoyed by so many. The fun continued throughout the afternoon with our Mini Olympics. Participants tested their skills with Rubik’s Cubes, spinning tops, pyramid-building challenges, yo-yos, and other activities representing different parts of the world. Laughter, friendly competition, and fellowship filled the grounds as people of all ages joined in the fun. Most importantly, God moved powerfully in our service. Evangelist Jacob Phillips delivered a tremendous message, and we witnessed lives changed by the power of God. Three people received the gift of the Holy Ghost, and five people were baptized in Jesus’ Name. There is no greater reason to celebrate than seeing lives transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ. All Nations Sunday was a beautiful reminder that while we come from many different backgrounds, cultures, and nations, we are one family in Christ. Thank you to every volunteer, decorator, cook, booth worker, organizer, participant, and guest who helped make this day such a tremendous success. What an incredible day. What an incredible church. Most of all, what an incredible God!We are already looking forward to next year! [...]
May 25, 2026Event Recap / GeneralWhat an incredible time we had this past Monday at our annual Memorial Day church picnic at Martin Tudor Park. Hundreds of people from  Inland Lighthouse Church gathered together for a full day of food, laughter, games, and fellowship. Even though we ended up in a slightly different spot than usual this year, the feeling was exactly the same. Families spread out across the park with barbecues smoking, tables full of food, lawn chairs everywhere, and conversations happening in every direction. The baseball diamonds stayed busy for hours with softball games going nonstop. The young and energetic played. The older and energetic played. The rest of us, the author included, mostly sat nearby offering commentary, encouragement, and motivational heckling from the sidelines. Volleyball games broke out, kids ran everywhere, and somehow there always seemed to be somebody carrying a plate piled dangerously high with food. The children absolutely loved it. By the end of the day they were covered in dirt, rolling down hills, digging holes, chasing each other across the grass, and doing exactly the kinds of things kids are supposed to do at a park. Meanwhile, all around the grounds, people connected, caught up with old friends, shared stories, laughed together, and simply enjoyed spending time with one another.A special thank you goes to Bro. Kenny Lorenz for once again reserving the park and helping make this yearly tradition possible. Thank you as well to Logan Booker for gathering all of the athletic equipment together and helping keep the games going throughout the day. And thank you to everyone who brought food, helped set up, organized games, grilled, cleaned up, or simply came and made the day what it was.It really was a wonderful time together, and we are already looking forward to next year. Same time. Same place. [...]
May 23, 2026Event Recap / GeneralThis year’s Men’s Breakfast was an incredible time of fellowship, food, laughter, and encouragement. Around 90 men and boys gathered together for a morning that somehow managed to feel both relaxed and meaningful at the same time. Good food has a way of bringing people together, and this breakfast definitely proved that once again.A huge thank you goes to Sister Carlene and Nila Marxer for sacrificing their time and preparing such an amazing meal for everyone. The breakfast featured a loaded egg casserole packed with bacon, sausage, potatoes, and just about every other good thing you could imagine mixed into it. As if that was not enough, they also made homemade Dutch-style cinnamon rolls that disappeared at a speed that honestly should probably be studied scientifically. Add in fresh strawberries, bananas, desserts, and more, and it quickly became obvious that nobody was leaving hungry.Judging by the completely empty serving tables afterward, the breakfast was a success on every possible level. Not a single crumb seemed to survive the morning.Beyond the food, though, it was simply a great time for men and boys from  Inland Lighthouse Church to spend time together, talk, laugh, and strengthen friendships. Brother Rowell shared a short word of encouragement with the men that added a meaningful focus to the morning and challenged everyone to continue building one another up.We are thankful for everyone who helped make the breakfast possible, and we are already looking forward to the next one. Hopefully with just slightly more cinnamon rolls next time. [...]
May 22, 2026Event Recap / GeneralThe Connections event at Brother Bob Betor’s house was once again an incredible evening of food, laughter, and fellowship. Brother Bob has become known for opening his home and making people feel welcome, and this gathering was no exception. Around 60 people attended, which was especially impressive considering how many graduation parties and events were happening that same weekend. The food was outstanding. Cheeseburgers and beef dogs were cooking on the grill all evening, complete with all the toppings and trimmings you could want. There was potato salad, nacho cheese with chips, desserts spread across tables everywhere, and enough good food to keep people making “just one more trip” for most of the night. Some of the desserts were homemade, some store-bought, and nobody seemed particularly interested in figuring out which was which once the eating started.Of course, one of the unofficial traditions of the night continued as well. Every now and then, eyes would drift cautiously toward the property and the avocado trees, quietly scanning for the infamous Bigfoot sighting that somehow always becomes part of the conversation at Brother Bob’s house. No confirmed reports this year… though a few people seemed pretty convinced they heard something moving in the distance.More than anything, though, it was simply a great night for people from  Inland Lighthouse Church to spend time together. Conversations filled the backyard, friendships were strengthened, stories were shared, and the fellowship was every bit as wonderful as the food.We are thankful to Brother Bob for his hospitality and for everyone who helped make the evening such a memorable time together. April 26, 2026Event Recap / GeneralWhat an incredible weekend we just experienced here at Inland Lighthouse Church. Our Children’s Ministry Conference was combined with our annual Kids Revival, and the result was something special from start to finish.People traveled in from across the nation to be part of it. The event began Friday at noon and continued through Sunday afternoon. Friday and Saturday were filled with teaching, training, and practical sessions designed to help those serving in Sunday School, bus ministry, and children’s church become even more effective. The goal was simple: give leaders tools, ideas, and encouragement they could take home and put to work right away.Friday night shifted from conference to children’s service, and it was one of the highlights of the weekend. Many of the conference attendees jumped in to help, practiced together, and then worked side by side to put on the service that same night. Watching a group of people who mostly did not know each other come together so quickly was incredible. God moved in a beautiful way, and four children received the Holy Ghost.Sunday morning brought another children’s service, and once again God was so good to us. A few of our out-of-town guests stayed over to help. There was a skit built around the idea of needing a ticket to enter heaven, followed by an altar call. During that service, two more children from our bus routes received the Holy Ghost.Six children filled with the Holy Ghost in one weekend. Lives touched. Workers strengthened. Seeds planted. That is a weekend worth celebrating.A heartfelt thank you goes to everyone who helped make it happen. From decorations to food, registration to behind-the-scenes details, and everything in between, it took many hands and willing hearts. We are thankful for the incredible team God has brought together here in Rialto. [...]
April 18, 2026Event Recap / GeneralSoul Sisters Ministry hosted a beautiful afternoon on Saturday, April 18, 2026, with the theme “Tea with the Queen in the King’s Palace.” About forty ladies gathered together, including several first-time guests, filling the room with warmth, laughter, and anticipation. The afternoon began with a simple “left-right” story that had everyone exchanging teacups back and forth, only to end up right where they started… before passing them one more time to the left. It was light, it was fun, and it set the tone for what the day would become. Once everyone settled in with their tea, it was time to turn our attention to what mattered most.Sister Delaney Reighard brought a powerful and timely message. She focused on our relationship with God, reminding us from 1 Peter 5:7 that we can cast every care on Him. She drew our attention to Mary sitting at Jesus’ feet, choosing His presence over everything else, and challenged us to do the same. Not just to serve God, but to love Him. To spend time with Him. To recognize that we are His beloved. And one simple but powerful reminder stood out, God doesn’t just love us… He likes us.The moment continued as Sister Delaney led everyone in “Oh, How He Loves You and Me.” The presence of God filled the room in a real and tangible way. It wasn’t rushed. It wasn’t forced. It was just right. Then came the food, and it matched the spirit of the day perfectly. Sister Bridget Gamble, with help from Sister M. Thomas, prepared a thoughtful and delicious spread: chicken salad croissants, cucumber dill sandwiches, and pasta salad. She added a special touch with her chocolate-covered strawberry cream-filled croissants, which quickly became a favorite. Sister Nila Marxer completed the table with fresh blueberry scones, lemon curd, and Devonshire cream. Every detail was intentional. Every bite was enjoyed. The room itself was just as special. Ladies came dressed for the occasion, hats, gloves, and spring attire that brought the theme to life. It felt elegant, joyful, and full of connection. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the day what it was.Moments like this don’t just happen. They’re built through effort, love, and a desire to bring people together, and that’s exactly what took place. The next Soul Sisters event will be a brunch at Porto’s Bakery & Café on Saturday, May 16, 2026. The group will meet at 9:30 AM in the ILC parking lot to carpool. If you’re looking for a place to grow spiritually, build friendships, and connect with other ladies, make plans to be there, and bring someone with you.For more information, contact Sister Frances at (909) 684-6022. April 17, 2026Event Recap / GeneralInland Lighthouse Church recently hosted its Connections Event at the Avila’s home and it was a wonderful evening that brought people. With around 70 people in attendance, guests enjoyed chicken salad sandwiches, nachos, pizza, bowtie pasta, green salad, macaroni salad, and a table full of desserts!Beyond the food, what made the evening special was the great fellowship, conversations, and just getting to know one another! We have these once per month and we would love to have you! April 11, 2026Event Recap / GeneralThe Keenagers recently gathered at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store for an evening that was as full of laughter as it was of food. It didn’t take long to realize this wasn’t going to be a light meal. Plates came out loaded with country fried chicken, grilled and fried catfish, hamburger steak, okra, cornbread, mashed potatoes and gravy, biscuits, and just about everything else on the menu.More than anything, it was a time of great fellowship. Conversations flowed and stories shared. Having Sister and Bishop Booker there added even more meaning to the night. The group is already looking forward to the next gathering, and plans will be shared soon. [...]
April 5, 2026Event Recap / GeneralThis past Easter weekend at Inland Lighthouse Church was nothing short of incredible. From the very beginning, there was a sense of expectation, and God did exactly what only He can do.So much went into making this weekend what it was. Our church came together in an incredible way. Through the Rialto Blitz, we placed door hangers on nearly 30,000 homes in just three and a half weeks. That alone is an incredible accomplishment. Add to that the parking lot outreach, Facebook advertising, billboards, yard signs, and the simple act of people inviting their friends, neighbors, and family. Every piece mattered. And then came the weekend. It became the largest Easter weekend we have ever seen, with a total attendance of 3,151 and 2,387 unique individuals. Friday night reached 1,122, Saturday night followed closely with 1,120, and Sunday morning saw 909 in attendance. Both Friday and Saturday night services were the largest services in the history of Inland Lighthouse Church. But the greatest victories were not in the numbers alone. They were in lives changed.Sixteen people received the gift of the Holy Ghost for the very first time. Five were baptized in Jesus’ Name. Twenty prayed back through and were renewed in the Holy Ghost. That is what it is all about. That is why we do what we do.We are so thankful for every person who gave their time, energy, and heart to make this happen. From Sarah Booker and the leadership team, to those involved in music, set design, and props, to the costume team, actors, greeters, ushers, security, sound and lighting teams, and every volunteer behind the scenes. There are too many to name, but none of it would have been possible without each and every one of you. Most of all, we give all glory to God. He is the one who draws, saves, fills, and restores. We are simply grateful to be a part of what He is doing. What a weekend. What a move of God. And we believe this is only the beginning. [...]

March 18, 2026Event Recap / GeneralThis past Saturday, we had our annual Youth Blitz outreach in preparation for our upcoming Easter Drama. This marked the second year of this event, and we had a wonderful turnout. Approximately 25 young people gathered at 10:00 a.m. for prayer before heading out to distribute flyers throughout the community. After a time of prayer, everyone enjoyed donuts together before dividing into two groups. One group went to Walmart and the surrounding parking lots, while the other group covered parking lots in the Renaissance area. Altogether, the young people covered six parking lots and distributed more than 1,000 flyers in a short amount of time. That’s incredible! We are thankful for every young person who showed up and put in the work to make this a success! Also, a big thank you to the chaperones and drivers who took time out of their schedules to help us pull this off! It truly wouldn’t have happened without them! [...]
March 14, 2026Event Recap / GeneralOn Saturday March 14th Soul Sisters Ministry Hosted a “Women’s Clothing Swap” and potluck luncheon. Our fellowship meeting was attended by 15 women coming together to swap out old clothing for something new. Soul Sisters welcomed four first time ILC visitors Leslie Fields, Alice Morgan, Adrienne Riley, which were invited by first time SS attendee Karen Fields; all of which verbalized “having a very wonderful afternoon”.This afternoon event unfolded into an absolutely refreshing, restoring and motivating occasion for everyone attending. Our inspiring speaker for the afternoon was, Sister A. Deleon who presented an exceptional, precise message pertaining to clothing, dress and modesty explained in God’s word. She expounded on the biblical aspect of clothing, its significance and value as it is presented in Proverbs 31:25, “Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come”.  As women our appearance, mannerism and image are based on spiritual and moral fortitude as exemplify by Gods word. March 13, 2026Event Recap / GeneralThis month’s Connections gathering at Brother and Sister Davis’s home was a wonderful time. With around 57 in attendance, it was great to see new converts and seasoned saints connecting together, taking time to talk about the Word and grow closer. The evening itself could not have been more enjoyable. The weather was beautiful, and the atmosphere was full of joy and energy. Brother Davis may or may not have treated everyone to a fireworks display that added a unique twist on the night.Of course, the food did not disappoint. There was something for everyone, including chili beans, barbecued hot dogs, potato salad, macaroni salad, green salad, nacho cheese with chips and dip, fresh fruit, and plenty of desserts to go around. It was a true feast, both physically and spiritually. We are so thankful for the Davis family for opening their home and for everyone who came out to be a part of such a special evening. Connections like these continue to strengthen our church family, and we are already looking forward to the next one. [...]
March 10, 2026Event Recap / GeneralOver the past four weeks, Inland Lighthouse Church wrapped up the fourth annual Rialto Blitz, and this year it moved faster than it ever has before. The goal of the blitz is simple. Cover the entire city of Rialto door to door with invitations to Inland Lighthouse Church. No shortcuts. No mass mailing. Just people walking neighborhoods and hanging invitations on doors. This year our teams placed door hangers on approximately 30,000 homes across the city. When this effort first started four years ago, we honestly were not sure how long it would take. The challenge was originally built around a 12-week window, which seemed reasonable for covering that many doors across an entire city. What has happened since then has been unbelievable!  The first year took five weeks. The second year stretched out to seven weeks. The third year came back down to five weeks. And this year the entire city was covered in four weeks, and realistically closer to three and a half. The final week was mostly cleanup with only about 700 doors left in the city.To put that in perspective, we have only gone halfway through the 12-week window once. The fact that the entire city was covered this year in about a third of that time is honestly unreal. That kind of pace does not happen by accident. It happens because people show up and put in the work. Many individuals stepped out in a big way this year and covered an enormous amount of ground. We are incredibly thankful for every person who gave up part of their weeks and walked neighborhoods across Rialto. One group in particular deserves recognition. Team Three consisted of only five members, all from the HOPE Corps alumni. Despite having the smallest team, they kept pace with the other groups and covered nearly as many doors as anyone. The blitz itself may be finished, but the outreach is not slowing down. In the weeks leading up to Easter, we will be shifting gears and organizing a one-day blitz to see how much of the city we can cover in a single day. In addition to neighborhoods, teams will also be working parking lots, placing invitations on cars by the thousands. If you would like to be involved in the next round of outreach, sign-ups will be available soon. We would love to have you be part of it.God is already doing great things as a result of these efforts and this is JUST THE BEGINNING! [...]

February 20, 2026Event Recap / GeneralWhat a wonderful evening we shared at the Alvarado family’s home for our recent Connections get-together! Around 55 people gathered for a great night of fellowship and food. The menu did not disappoint. We enjoyed baked ziti, garlic bread, fresh bread rolls, and three different salads. There was also a spread of desserts, including several homemade favorites along with some delicious store-bought treats. No one left hungry.More importantly, connections were made. February 14, 2026Event Recap / GeneralThis past week, our Men in Training (MIT) boys headed out for a fun night at Topgolf in Ontario, and it was a great time all around. Five of our boys came out, and for some of them, it was their very first time ever swinging a golf club. There were plenty of creative “swing styles,” but every moment was lots of fun. What made the night special wasn’t just the golf. It was the connection. MIT is all about shaping young boys into strong, apostolic, godly young men, and sometimes that can happen in a golf bay. We’re excited about more MIT events planned throughout the rest of the year. Our goal is to keep creating opportunities for our boys to grow, connect, and make memories that matter. If you would like more information about Men in Training or upcoming events, talk to Logan Booker. We’d love to help all of the young men of ILC get involved. [...]
February 6, 2026Event Recap / GeneralOur Ladies Fellowship had a wonderful start to the new year with great attendance and a full house. The evening was beautifully hosted by Sis. Maureen Alvarado, whose hospitality made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. We began with a fun icebreaker where each woman introduced herself, shared a little about who she is, and talked about a favorite hobby. With so many ladies present, it took a good portion of the night, but it was a great way to connect and get to know one another better. The evening wrapped up with a relaxed time of fellowship over refreshments, coffee, and plenty of sweets. It was a joyful night filled with laughter, conversation, and meaningful connections. We were thankful for such a great turnout and look forward to many more Ladies Fellowship gatherings this year. January 30, 2026Event Recap / GeneralThe Southern California Commission Conference (SCC) was an incredible couple of days from start to finish. We were honored to have Bishop Jonathan Alvear with us Thursday and Friday night, and then again on Sunday night. He is truly one of the premier voices in the Apostolic movement and we were so honored that he came!Churches from all over Southern California came together, and the sanctuary was absolutely packed. Even on Thursday night, we were setting up extra chairs in the front rows, cars were double parked outside, and the room was full of people.Thursday night was kicked off with worship led by the Calimesa Church, followed by the Inland Lighthouse Church choir, and they were on point. In fact, they sang the exact song that needed to be sung that night, referencing John 1:1… which was the very passage Bishop Alvear was about to preach from.Friday night was more of the same… only more. More worship, more preaching, more of the presence of God and Bishop Alvear preached what can only be described as a masterpiece. At the same time, there was a children’s service happening in the Spanish sanctuary with around 200 gathered just for the kids. It was fun, exciting, and silly at moments, but ended with an altar call where Johnny received the Holy Ghost. The topic was simple: You matter to God.We are so grateful for everyone who helped make SCC what it was. From the ushers, greeting teams, decorators, cleaners, musicians, children’s workers, maintenance crew… and everyone who jumped in wherever needed… thank you. It was a team effort, and it was incredible all the way around. What a conference. What a weekend… and what a reminder of what God can do when His people come together. [...]

January 16, 2026Event Recap / GeneralThis past Friday, January 16, we had a fantastic Connections event hosted at the home of Jared and Nicole Rowell. With around 105 people in attendance, the night was full of great food, great conversations, and even better fellowship. We enjoyed pizza, salad, and desserts for days, and we were thankful the wind cooperated so we could spread out both inside the house and outdoors. It was especially encouraging to see longtime members and those who are newer to our church connecting and getting to know each other outside of a regular service setting. It truly turned into a great night all around. If you have never been to a Connections event, you really need to come. Everyone is invited. These gatherings happen once a month at different homes throughout the year and are a wonderful way to build real relationships. Be sure to mark your calendar for the next Connections event on February 20. We would love to see you there. [...]

December 7, 2025Event Recap / GeneralOn December 7th, ILC San Bernardino celebrated four years of serving our community. This past year has been marked by steady spiritual growth and several meaningful “firsts.” We joined together with local Apostolic churches for outreach, strengthening our unity and our commitment to sharing the Gospel in Southern California. We watched God raise up new musicians and singers, adding a powerful richness to our worship services. We also launched our official youth group, Triumphant Youth, an important step in discipling and supporting the next generation. This year, we began hosting Bible Quiz practices for our Rialto and San Bernardino quizzers, helping them grow in the Word and in confidence. To make room for continued growth, we opened up more space in our sanctuary by removing a wall. We want to acknowledge Bro. December 6, 2025Event Recap / GeneralOur annual ILC Ladies Christmas Brunch was a special morning. The room was filled with beautiful Christmas decor that set the tone for a memorable time together. We shared a delicious meal with the accompanying sound of Christmas music. Several vendors brought gifts and holiday items, giving everyone a chance to browse and find something unique. The ornament exchange continues to be a favorite tradition. There was plenty of laughter and fun as each lady unwrapped an ornament to take home.We were blessed this year by the ministry of Sis. Brown, who spoke to us about “getting our tone right.” Her message was a reminder that we set the tone in our homes, in our relationships, and in every space we step into. She encouraged us to be intentional… in our words, our attitudes, and the atmosphere we create. It was a wonderful day all around! A special thanks to Sis. Kim Martin and her team for all their hard work in making this event so beautiful. Their time, creativity, and effort were evident in every detail, and we appreciate them so much. [...]

Bre Hinckley and her team shared Bible stories alongside modern-day parallels, helping the kids understand Thanksgiving through storytelling.Game Station – Logan, Trystan, and Natalya Booker kept everyone moving with fun games that reinforced the theme of thankfulness.Food Station – Sis. November 1, 2025Event Recap / GeneralWe had another incredible get-together at the home of Bob Betor this past weekend! The event brought together everyone involved in the B-Free program along with folks from our Inland Lighthouse Church Connections group for an evening of relaxed fellowship outside the usual setting. And as anyone who has been to Bob’s knows, he and his crew never do anything halfway. The food lineup was unbelievable: fish tacos, shrimp tacos, nachos, jambalaya, clam chowder, fresh veggies, fruit, coffee, hot chocolate, and more.If you’ve never been to Bob’s place, you owe it to yourself to go. It’s like an oasis hidden right in the middle of the city. The grove of avocado trees blocks out all the noise, and the fire pit gives it that cozy, tucked-away-in-the-woods feeling.Huge thanks to Bob and everyone who helped make this event happen. It has become a yearly favorite every November, and if you missed it this time, you’ll definitely want to make plans for the next one! [...]

September 12, 2025Event RecapThis past Saturday, the Rowells opened their home for our ILC Connections get-together, and it was awesome. The turnout was fantastic, with both brand-new converts and longtime saints piling in for food and fellowship. The star of the spread was a build-your-own taco salad bar stacked with seasoned chicken, seasoned beef, and every topping you could dream up. If you left hungry, that’s on you. Dessert was equally dangerous. Bro. Bob Betor’s legendary dump cake once again lived up to its reputation and Sis. Jessica’s homemade banana cake baked special for Bro. Anthony’s birthday was incredible! But let’s not forget Sis. Bridget and her homemade salsa that makes you wonder if maybe you should have brought a bigger plate just for chips. While the adults talked and laughed, the kids launched themselves head-first into the bounce house, where they stayed occupied. Games stretched late into the evening, and folks lingered because, well, why leave when you’re having such a good time?In short, it was one of those nights where you remember why “fellowship” is one of the greatest words in the Apostolic dictionary. Don’t miss the next one. [...]

Even though this has been the hottest week of the year so far, nothing could stop the excitement, that filled every part of our campus. We had around 100 kids in attendance each night, and more than 30 volunteers working together to bring this vision to life. From the moment the children arrived, they were surrounded by incredible decorations and volunteers.A huge thank you goes to Sis. Leaya Thomas for directing the entire program and keeping every detail running smoothly. She worked tirelessly to make sure each part of VBS came together, and we are so grateful for her leadership. The Bible room, directed by Danny Tirado, presented the Word of God in ways that the kids loved. The experiment area was in many way, unforgettable. While every single one of these areas was excellent, the highlight of VBS was found in the services at the close of each night. Pastor Tyler Hodge preached to the kids and what an incredible job he did. Every night ended with an altar service where kids were praying all over the place! These were not short or shallow moments, but long lingering altar calls that were just so special. The decorations across the campus added so much to the atmosphere and excitement. The VBS curriculum itself, written by the Inland Lighthouse Sunday School staff, was a lot of fun! From the lessons, to the games, to the crafts, to the services, everything came together to make it an unforgettable week.We cannot thank everyone enough. To every parent who brought their child, to every staff member who gave of their time and energy, to Pastor Hodge for traveling here and ministering, and most of all to Jesus for being with us! [...]

Their hospitality and beautiful backyard set the perfect scene for a night filled with fellowship and tacos. If you weren’t able to join us this time, make plans now to be part of the next one. These gatherings are a special opportunity for our church family to connect outside the walls of the sanctuary. It’s amazing how many friendships and conversations begin simply by sitting down to share a meal together.A huge thank you to the Davis family for opening up their home and going the extra mile to bring in a taco caterer. The food was delicious, and while the line was long, no one seemed to mind because the fellowship was just that good. July 15, 2025Event Recap / GeneralSometimes it’s easy to take for granted the things that just happen week after week, especially in a busy, thriving church like Inland Lighthouse, but make no mistake, nothing in our children’s ministry just happens. Behind every child who walks through the doors, every laugh, every lesson learned, and every soul reached, there is an army of faithful workers making it all possible. So today, we just want to pause and say: THANK YOU.First, to our breakfast team, led by the amazing Sis. Kim Vasquez. It’s not just toast and cereal. It’s ministry. Every Sunday morning, this team feeds dozens of kids, many of whom ride in on our church vehicles and wouldn’t have eaten otherwise. You’re not just filling bellies. You’re setting the tone for their entire day. We’ve seen firsthand how much smoother the morning runs when kids start it knowing someone cared enough to feed them.To our check-in crew, both at the Coffee Shop entrance and in the Fellowship Hall… you are the frontline of kindness. You welcome each child with a smile, handle the check-in process, hand out Sunday School dollars, and somehow keep it all running smoothly. The decorations, the warm greetings… kids notice. So do we.To Sis. Francis Abad, our Sunday School Store manager, thank you for keeping those shelves stocked and that store humming. You’ve turned reward time into something kids look forward to all week. And the best part? Every dollar they spend represents faithfulness. Attendance, bringing a Bible, inviting friends, giving in the offering. You’re helping build habits that matter. To Bro. Baltie Lozano, who heads up our children’s ministry campus security, what can we say? You are dependable to your core. Always in place, always alert, and always with a presence that brings order to what could be chaos. Your consistency is incredible and we are thankful for you.To our teachers and class helpers, from toddlers all the way through College and Career, THANK YOU. Whether you’re up front with a microphone or quietly helping with crafts and restroom breaks, you are the heart of this ministry. Some of you have been serving for decades, and your investment is paying off. You’re making the Word of God come alive and doing it with excellence. To the ones who decorate classrooms, set up outdoor areas, and handle all the details that may never get a shout-out, we see you too. Especially Bro. Beto, who arrives early every Sunday to set up cones for the buses, the red carpet, the air dancer, greeting tables, and more. Week after week, rain or shine, you’re a Sunday School hero, whether you ever grab a mic or not.We also want to take a moment to thank our bus ministry which is a massive and vital part of what makes this entire operation possible. From our incredible leaders Bro. Julian and Sis. Kim Estrada, to our faithful bus captains, drivers, mechanics, and everyone who helps bring children to the house of God each week, we are so thankful for you. Bro. Mark McVay has recently taken on the massive task of organizing all the paperwork and we are so grateful! We are also deeply grateful to every saint of Inland Lighthouse Church who gives financially and prayerfully to support this ministry. You may never ride a bus or teach a class, but your giving puts fuel in the tank, food in hungry bellies, Bibles in hands, and joy on the faces of hundreds of children. Thank you for being a part of this work. Finally, and most importantly, we are thankful for a pastor who believes in this ministry. Pastor Joel Booker doesn’t just talk about loving children, he pours this church’s resources, time, and trust into seeing this ministry thrive. His vision and leadership have created a culture where kids matter deeply and where children’s ministry is not an afterthought. It’s a priority. And we are all better for it.Truthfully, this list could go on. And if we accidentally missed someone, please know it wasn’t intentional. There’s just so much that happens behind the scenes, and we want every single person to know that you are noticed and appreciated.God has been so good to Inland Lighthouse Church, and one of His greatest blessings is this powerful children’s ministry team. Thank you for being part of what He’s doing. If you’re reading this and want to jump in and be part of it all, come see Bro. Phillip Booker. There’s always room for one more set of helping hands and a heart to serve.Let’s keep reaching the next generation, together. [...]
June 6, 2025Event Recap / GeneralThis past Friday night was a great time! Over 100 people showed up for our ILC Connections event, and it was incredible. Bro. Bob Betor graciously opened up his beautiful backyard (yes, the one surrounded by avocado trees!) and it turned into the perfect spot for a night of food, fun and connections. There was a hot dog bar loaded with all the fixings, a mountain of nachos, a dessert table, coffee bar and so much more. But the real highlight? The people.Sometimes it’s hard to really connect with others just by passing them in the church hallway or sitting a few rows apart during a service. That’s why nights like this are so important. It’s where conversations happen, friendships grow, and we realize just how blessed we are to be part of such an amazing church family.Huge thanks to Bro. Bob for opening up his home, and to everyone who helped make the night run smoothly. And of course, thank YOU to everyone who came out and made it special. We already can’t wait for the next one! Also, don’t forget—every Friday night, there’s a Discipleship Class at Bro. Tim Lackey’s house. If you’re wanting to grow in your walk with God, this is the place to be. Check out the graphic below for more info.  We love you all—God bless, and we’ll see you soon! [...]
May 30, 2025Event Recap / GeneralLast week was a special one for Lighthouse Christian Academy. It all started on Thursday night, May 29th, with our annual Graduation Banquet in the beautifully decorated fellowship hall. Everything came together in a way that honored each senior in style. There was great food, even better company, and plenty of heartfelt moments as we looked back on years of learning, growing, and praying together. A big thank-you goes out to everyone who helped decorate, cook, serve, and clean up.Then came Friday night—the main event. The graduation ceremony was held in the sanctuary. Seven young people crossed the platform: the twin duo John and Isabella Alvarado, Elayna Booker, Trenton Booker, Hannah Molina, Mary Traylor, and Olivia Schnepp. Trenton delivered a strong valedictorian speech, and Elayna followed as salutatorian. We are incredibly thankful for every teacher and staff member who’s poured into these students, especially our principal, Sis. Sharon Pierce. Her leadership and care have shaped this school and these lives in ways that go far beyond academics. To our graduates: we love you, we’re proud of you, and we can’t wait to see what God has in store for you next. This is only the beginning. [...]
May 26, 2025Event Recap / GeneralWhat do you get when you mix sunshine, sizzling BBQ, friendly competition, and a whole lot of Apostolics? You get one incredible Memorial Day picnic! This year’s annual Inland Lighthouse Church picnic at Martin Tudor Park in Fontana was the biggest and best yet, over 350 people showed up ready to eat, laugh, play, and just enjoy being together. Families brought their lawn chairs and coolers, kids dashed between games, and the sound of laughter echoed from one end of the park to the other. There were games of softball (both kids and adults), volleyball, and plenty of spontaneous fun happening in every direction. And there was plenty of food! Everywhere you looked, someone was grilling something delicious, and just about everyone was sharing with everyone else. Carne asada here, hot dogs over there, some mystery casserole that turned out to be amazing, we were spoiled. The park was full of people you know, love, and maybe just met. Apostolics were spread out all over the place, and it was an awesome sight to see. Seriously, if you’ve never been, you have to make plans for next year. May 10, 2025Event Recap / GeneralThe SCC Children’s Ministry Conference just wrapped up here at Inland Lighthouse Church and it was something special. 11 speakers and 30 sessions, a flood of ideas, encouragement, and practical tools for every single Sunday school teacher, bus worker, and kidmin leader. It was two full days packed with content. From start to finish, there was something for everyone, no matter what area of children’s ministry they serve in.People flew in from all over the country to be part of this. From the first session to the last it was just incredible. Teachers and leaders connected with others who shared their same burden and left with renewed vision and fresh ideas. We also had between 10 and 15 vendors lined up in the lobby with Apostolic books, resources, shirts, and more—some from right here and others from across the country. It was amazing to see so many creators in one place. There were materials for teachers, books for kids, devotionals, games, curriculum, and more. The vendor area stayed busy the entire time and gave attendees a chance to stock up on tools and support fellow Apostolics. And Friday night? That’s when everything came to life.We pulled together an entire children’s service with the help of all our attendees, many of whom had just met for the first time a few hours earlier. After one quick practice, they jumped in. The service was awesome and full of puppets, action songs, skits, and laughs. The kids were engaged, and every part of the service was just awesome! But it wasn’t just fun and games because the power of God fell.By the end of the night, seven children were filled with the Holy Ghost, and another baptized in the name of Jesus. Another is getting baptized this morning. God moved in a mighty way and reminded us all why we do what we do.This wasn’t just a conference… it was teaching and transformation and we are so thankful to have been part of it. We believe the seeds planted here will continue to grow in churches, classrooms, and children’s lives across the country. [...]
April 25, 2025Event Recap / GeneralWe had an absolutely incredible time at the recent ILC Connections event hosted at Phillip and Jennifer Booker’s house. If you’re not familiar with Connections, it’s something we started to give those who are newer to Inland or just haven’t had a chance to meet many people yet—a chance to hang out, eat good food, and just connect outside the normal church setting. And… what a turnout! Over 100 people and packed the place out. There was tortilla soup, sandwiches, pizza, chicken wings, breadsticks, and LOTS of desserts. The backyard fire pit was surrounded (it was a little chilly), kids were running around, and there was a full-on basketball game happening in the front yard. But more than the food and fun, something better was taking place. People talked. Laughed. Shared stories. April 20, 2025Event Recap / GeneralThis past Sunday at Inland Lighthouse Church was just incredible.Let’s start with the numbers—which only tell part of the story, but are still worth mentioning. In our English service in Rialto alone, we had 782 in attendance on Sunday morning, with a total of 917 unique attendees throughout the day. Add in our Spanish congregation—who broke their all-time attendance record with 188 in service—and the total attendance on the Rialto campus hit 1,379, with 1,090 unique guests! And great things were also happening in our daughter works—Riverside (102), San Bernardino (97), Phelan (39), and West Covina (33)—and the grand total across all services hit 1,650 people in attendance!  1,354 unique individuals were in church across all Inland Lighthouse campuses this weekend. Now, let’s talk about what really matters. Sunday morning, Evangelist Isaiah Dunn preached and we had incredible church! In our morning service, Melinda and Jemaima were filled with the Holy Ghost and Cristany was baptized in Jesus’ name! Then Sunday night—Derek and Doylese prayed back through, and Cheyenne and Nohemi were filled with the Holy Ghost.Meanwhile, over in San Bernardino, Patricia and Jose were baptized. In Riverside, Destiny received the Holy Ghost. And in our Spanish work, Sarah, Eric, and Kimberly were baptized, and Kimberly also received the Holy Ghost. And that’s not all. Our extended church family felt it too. Over in Ventura—pastored by Bro. Gavin Berrier, who recently transitioned there from Rialto—they had 129 in attendance, with one receiving the Holy Ghost and another praying back through. In Bro. Josh Winkler’s church, 97 people attended, three were baptized, one received the Holy Ghost, and another prayed through. God is doing something powerful—not just here but everywhere. On the Sunday School side we had a great time! Ages 5–11 gathered for an incredible Easter drama where the Resurrection story was told from the perspective of a Roman soldier.  The drama was great but the altar call was even better—so many kids praying, crying and lifting their hands. And yes… we had fun too. After the altar call, the kids came outside where prizes were given away—remote control cars, Lego kits, and an electric scooter. Then came the Candy and Money Rain. We mean that literally. We lifted up buckets full of candy—mixed in with $5 bills, $1 bills, quarters, dimes, nickels, and even pennies—and let it rain down from the sky. It was chaos and it was a total blast. All in all, it was one of those weekends that reminds us why we do what we do. Souls were saved, altars were full, kids were impacted, records were broken, and most importantly—God was glorified.Let’s not lose the momentum. Let’s carry this revival into next week. Something special is happening at Inland Lighthouse Church. You don’t want to miss it. [...]

April 9, 2025Event Recap / General
April 5, 2025Event Recap / GeneralWhat a weekend. A group from Inland Lighthouse Church made their way up to Ventura to celebrate the installation of Pastor Gavin Barrier, along with his wife and kids, as the new pastoral family at The Lighthouse Church of Ventura. This family has been a faithful part of our Rialto church for years. They’ve poured their hearts into the work, raised their kids in truth, and led by example. It’s hard to let them go—but there’s no question that God is ordering their steps. Ventura is gaining something special.Saturday’s installation service was powerful. Pastor Joel Booker preached a cornerstone message—“Lengthen and Strengthen.” A call to revival, rooted in solid doctrine. Growth means nothing if it’s not grounded. Strength means little if it doesn’t stretch to reach others. You need both. The celebration continued afterward as the church gathered, lingered, and enjoyed the moment together. Laughter, connection, and a sense that something important had just shifted.God is working in Rialto, but His reach goes far beyond our city. He’s moving in Ventura. He’s moving everywhere hearts are open. Let’s keep pressing forward. Let’s keep praying for revival. [...]
March 30, 2025Event Recap / GeneralFamily and Friends Day at Inland Lighthouse on March 30th was one for the books. From the first note of worship to the last laugh of the cornhole tournament, the whole day was packed with fun… and a whole lot of macaroni.Things kicked off with a powerful service with Evangelist Isaiah Dunn, and God moved. The altar was full, and people were filled with the Holy Ghost, and baptized! It was a WONDERFUL SERVICE!But the day didn’t stop there. Oh no—we were just getting warmed up. Right after service, the smell of grilled burgers drew people in as a hardworking kitchen crew (led by Brella Booker) served up a top-tier meal complete with chips, juicy watermelon, and enough food to feed the army that was coming. From there, fun exploded in every direction. There was a toddler zone lead by the teachers of that age, with a bounce house, Orbeez, and toys galore. Meanwhile, the 5–11-year-old girls got to dive into crafts and activities thanks to Mindy Rowe. But let’s talk about The Mac and Cheese Contest. Twelve brave souls entered the culinary arena, armed with nothing but elbow noodles and unshakable confidence. The competition was fierce. The stakes? A gift card and the legendary Golden Macaroni. In the end, three rose above the rest: Bre Hinckley took 3rd (a redemption arc that is unbelievable to those that know), Bridget Gamble snagged 2nd, and the queen of Mac & Cheese herself, Mary Johnson, claimed the crown. As if that weren’t enough, the Married vs. Singles volleyball tournament brought out everyone’s competitive side. It was a nail-biter to the end, but the Married team clutched the win. The Singles, in good spirits (and with a deal to honor), cleaned up the chairs, tables, and trash like champs… well, like champs that lost. And the cornhole tournament was fantastic in its own right Thirteen teams. Over three hours and thousands of beanbag tosses. Bro Kevin deserves a medal for running the whole thing start to finish. Somewhere around 7:30 PM, it finally wrapped up.There was a giant bounce house out back, pick-up basketball games, spontaneous clusters of people just talking, laughing, connecting—it was what the church is all about. The family of God doing life together, one smile and small cup of macaroni at a time.If you missed it, don’t worry—your next chance is June 29th. And this one’s going to be huge because it’s also All Nations Sunday. So mark your calendar and get ready. We’ll see you there! [...]
March 18, 2025Event Recap / GeneralThis past weekend, our community came together for an exciting event—the Rialto Tournament. We had the privilege of hosting 48 quiz teams from across California, with five quiz rooms running simultaneously and the fellowship hall buzzing as the kitchen served up delicious food. It was a fantastic time, but it also required an immense amount of effort. From setting up and tearing down the quiz rooms to preparing and serving food, cleaning up, and ensuring everything was ready for Sunday service, the workload was no small feat.A huge thank you is in order for everyone who contributed to making this event a success. If you were involved in any way—whether you helped out or simply came to cheer on the teams—please know that we appreciate your efforts. Special appreciation goes to Sis Leaya, who organized the food fundraiser, and Sis Nana Thomas, who came out of retirement to lend her culinary expertise and help create some truly amazing dishes. We’re also grateful to the many individuals who donated baked goods, food, and drinks to sell. Your hard work and generosity were the backbone of this event, and we couldn’t have pulled it off without you.As with our last tournament, we fielded six talented teams: two Junior teams, three Intermediate teams, and one Experienced team. Here’s how they were composed:Junior Team 1: Daxon Reighard, Dawson Booker, Alex Santiago, Riley Coggins Junior Team 2: Kristin Dillon, Marilyn Booker, Abigail Ramirez, Victor Molina, Ellison Stevens Intermediate Team 1: Christopher Santiago, Devin Serna, Andrew Cruz, Lizette Stevens Intermediate Team 2: Landry Booker, Zane Dillon, Anthony Lopez, Anahi Montoya Intermediate Team 3: Cody Arnett, Troy Stevens, Abigail Santana, Josh Cruz Experienced Team: Peyton Booker, Isiah Vargas, Sebastian Echevarria, Noah Tirado, Wyatt DillonThe results from the tournament were impressive and worth celebrating:Junior Team 1 took 5th place, with Alex Santiago earning 4th highest scorer honors. Intermediate Team 1 also secured 5th place, with Andrew Cruz as the 7th highest scorer. Intermediate Team 2 saw Zane Dillon shine as the 3rd highest scorer. Experienced Team came in strong with a 2nd place finish, with Isaiah Vargas as the 5th highest scorer and Peyton Booker as the 3rd highest scorer.Looking ahead, our next challenge awaits at the Le Grande, Oregon tournament on April 11-12. This will be a combined event with the Northwestern Region, promising a great time—though it’s a long drive! We’re optimistic and expecting wonderful things from our teams as they continue to grow and compete.Once again, thank you to everyone who made the Rialto Tournament a memorable success. Your dedication and support are what keep this community thriving! [...]
March 14, 2025Event Recap / GeneralRecently, the ILC newlywed couples met for a night of fellowship which included an artistic array via charcuterie board selections. This was followed by a special word by Pastor Caleb and sister Sarah Dillon from our San Bernardino daughter work. They wonderfully encouraged our young couples with stories of their newly-married transition years and provided foundations on working together as a new couple. The artistry did not end there! The night of romance “Under the Stars” was made complete with a couples painting session, where the couples painted their loving spouse in vivid living color. There was plenty of fun during “the reveals” as new memories were certainly made. The event was held at the Avila residence. A very special thank you to Jessica and Marissa McVay for coordinating our artists and arranging the amazing food selections. The young couples group serves newlyweds at ILC to provide opportunities of growth and fellowship with other like-minded couples. If you would like more information, please email the church at info@inlandlighthouse.com. [...]
March 7, 2025Event Recap / GeneralThe mystery dinner at Inland Lighthouse was an absolute blast! From start to finish, it was a night full of laughs, surprises, and some seriously good food. Tri-tip with all the fixings and crème brûlée to finish it off!The service was top-notch with young people of the church handling everything like pros. And the entertainment was wild! A live-action escape room where select audience members had to crack codes and solve puzzles, bringing back clues to uncover who was stirring up trouble. Oh, and in true mystery fashion—one unlucky cast member didn’t make it through the night (dramatic gasp). The chaos was orchestrated by a colorful cast of characters, literally—Robin Red, Yardley Yellow, Grayson Green, Bobby Blue, Professor White, Ocean Orange, and more—each bringing their own brand of mischief. The audience was caught in a hilarious back-and-forth, piecing together clues, second-guessing everything, and laughing the entire time. In the end, the culprit was revealed—Robin Red—who was properly dealt with (whatever that means… let’s just say justice was served).A HUGE shoutout goes to Sis. Leaya Thomas, the mastermind behind it all. She was the brains of the operation, orchestrating nearly everything, and without her, this event simply wouldn’t have happened. Of course, plenty of hands helped with the decorations and food, but she was the driving force behind the magic. If you missed it—mark your calendar for next year. Seriously. You do not want to miss out on this level of fun. It was an unforgettable night, and we can’t wait to do it all over again! [...]
March 2, 2025Event Recap / GeneralBack in 2018, what started as simple home Bible studies led by Bro. Galen DeCosta in the high desert has now become something incredible. The DeLeon family opened their home, not just for teaching but for weekly meals, making sure everyone who came was both spiritually and physically fed. Then 2020 hit. The world shut down, but the Word didn’t. Even in the middle of a pandemic, the Bible studies kept going strong over Zoom, and when the lockdown lifted, the in-person gatherings picked right back up.Fast forward to 2023—those Bible studies officially became ILC Phelan, a daughter work led by Pastor and Sis. DeCosta. At first, services stayed in the DeLeons’ home, but in January 2024, ILC Phelan moved into its very own building. And let me tell you, God has been working! Around 35 saints now call it home, new families are walking through the doors, people are getting comfortable stepping into the altar, and several have been baptized. Revival is happening! And we believe this is just the beginning. Please keep ILC Phelan in your prayers—there’s no telling what God is about to do next! [...]

About 45 people came together for an evening packed with fellowship, laughter, and—let’s be honest—way too much food. The pasta, salads,  desserts and various appetizers were awesome. Huge thank you to the Thomases for opening their home and to everyone who made this night happen! If you’re new to the church or just looking to get more connected, this is for you. These fellowships happen every month and are a laid-back, come-and-go event where you can meet people, build friendships, and just enjoy good company. No agenda. No pressure. Just food, fun, and great people. Whether you stay for ten minutes or all night, we’d love to have you!Heads up—there won’t be a fellowship in March because the Mystery Dinner on March 7th (Friday) is taking its place. But don’t worry, we’ll be back on April 25th at Phillip Booker’s home. Mark your calendars and make plans to be there—we can’t wait to hang out with you! [...]

February 21, 2025Event Recap / GeneralThe Soul Sisters Ministry (SSM) at Inland Lighthouse Church is all about fellowship and unity. Through prayer, outreach, and monthly gatherings, SSM provides a space for women to connect, encourage one another, and grow in their walk with God.So far this year, two fellowship meetings have taken place, both filled with great food, inspiration, and time together. The first SSM gathering on Jan 17 had 28 women focusing on setting spiritual goals for 2025. Attendees wrote down their visions for the year—whether it was joining a Bible study, outreach ministry, or transitional home support. Sister Maureen Alvarado spoke about the incredible work happening in transitional homes, sharing testimonies of miracles, answered prayers, and transformed lives. As a result, several women started the application process to get involved, and SSM committed to supporting this ministry through prayer, volunteering, and providing Bibles.February 21, 2025 – Made in His Image, with 34 ladies in attendance, this meeting centered on how we are created in God’s image and loved by Him. February 16, 2025Event Recap / GeneralWhat. A. Weekend. Our annual Children’s Revival at Inland Lighthouse Church was absolutely off the charts! Our Sunday School team knocked it out of the park. From the moment you walked in, it was wild west perfection. Huge shoutout to Sis. Leaya Thomas and her talented team for transforming the foyer into a cowboy wonderland—games, decorations, the whole works! 🤠🎯 Inside, it was nothing short of spectacular with a massive backdrop and an epic set, thanks to Logan Booker and the crew that put in the hours to set up and tear down. And our outlaws… Sure, maybe not the best role models 😆, but they were next-level amazing thanks to our Sunday School team. The Sheriff and his deputies kept law and order (kinda 😉), and both Friday night and Sunday morning were nothing short of powerful. Kids AND adults filled the altars, and God moved in such an incredible way.We are so grateful for our pastor’s vision and burden for the children of our church and community. February 1, 2025Event Recap / GeneralGod has been so incredibly good to us in West Covina! This past December 2024, we had the privilege of celebrating our five-year church anniversary with Rev. Johnny Walker, and what a powerful, unforgettable service it was!We also had the opportunity to hear from Bro. Solano, missionary to Costa Rica, who delivered a message about “measures” that truly challenged our church to go deeper in our faith and commitment. It was a call to stretch, grow, and reach beyond our current limitations—a message that resonated deeply with our congregation. But the move of God didn’t stop there. In January, we entered a season of revival with Evangelist Isaiah Dunn, and we can truly say God is moving like never before in the history of our church. His presence has been felt on a deeper level, and we are witnessing unprecedented breakthroughs. This month alone, we’ve seen new Bible studies launched, a women’s Bible study established, and an increased burden to reach beyond our city limits. January 21, 2025Event Recap / GeneralDear Saints of ILC,We greet you in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ and want to thank you for your steadfast prayers and encouragement. Your support means so much to our family as we continue the work God has called us to here in Brazil. It is a privilege to be planting a church in South Brazil, in the city of Porto Alegre, home to over 1.5 million people. While this city and state are still recovering from last year’s devastating floods, we are trusting in God’s ability to heal and restore, knowing that His grace is sufficient in every situation.Porto Alegre is a city known for having the highest concentration of devil worship in Brazil. One local news headline even described it as a place where “you cannot sleep without hearing the sound of ‘batuque’”—the drumbeats used in demonic rituals. But we are encouraged by the promise of God’s Word: “Where sin abounded, grace did much more abound.” His light shines brightest in the darkness, and we are seeing evidence of His hand at work. His protection over our family has been undeniable, and we feel His strength as we daily pray for and reach out to the people of this city. This past year has been filled with challenges, but it has also been a time of tremendous faith-building. We have seen the miraculous and felt the peace that only God can provide. Currently, we are holding open-air services 2-3 times a week and church services 2 days a week, lifting up the name of Jesus and sowing seeds of the gospel into the lives of those who are searching for hope. Though the ground here is difficult, we know that God can and will bring the increase in His time.We ask for your continued prayers for this mission. Please join us in praying for an open door to minister and for a powerful revival of repentance to sweep across Brazil, especially in our state of Rio Grande do Sul. Pray that lives will be transformed, chains will be broken, and hearts will be turned toward Jesus Christ.Your prayers and encouragement sustain us more than you know. We are so thankful for each of you who stand with us in this work. It is because of your faithfulness that we are able to press forward, trusting that God will complete what He has begun. Together, we are believing for a great harvest in Porto Alegre and beyond. In the beautiful name of Jesus Christ,Nelson and Kathryn Santos  [...]

The decorations transformed the entire area, from the courtyard to the fellowship hall into a Christmas wonderland, complete with oversized bows, sparkling garlands, twinkling lights, snowflakes, and ornaments.Of course, none of this would have been possible without the incredible team of volunteers who worked tirelessly to make it happen. From decorating to setup, food preparation, and cleanup, their hard work did not go unnoticed. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who pitched in!The entertainment was wild but fun. Guests enjoyed skits, interdepartmental competitions, trivia, and more.It was truly a memorable night filled with food, fellowship, and holiday cheer. The only regret? Wishing we had even more room to accommodate everyone who wanted to join in on the fun. Thank you to all who came and made this year’s Christmas party so special! [...]

September 22, 2024Event Recap / GeneralThe ILC Riverside campus is experiencing remarkable growth as a daughter work of ILC Rialto. Since its inception 5 years ago, the Riverside location has become a vibrant and growing church, not only reflected in rising attendance numbers (90-100 on Sundays), but also in growing involvement fostering a sense of belonging, and in a tangible deepening of the glory of God in each service as God continues to renew prodigals and pour out His Spirit on the hungry. We’ve been thrilled this year already to see more souls filled with the Holy Ghost (30) and be baptized in Jesus’ Name (24) than any of the first five years. One of the key drivers of this growth has been the church’s commitment to ongoing Bible studies, which currently average approximately 90 students each week.  Another driver has been in the area of translation services as ILC Riverside continues to increase the number of trilingual services with sign language and Spanish translation being offered, thanks to training from Sis. Mindy Rowe and Sis. Mary Yoder.  As a result, we have seen more first time guests this year (140+) than any previous year. The church has focused intensely in the last 8 months on consistently diving deeper in the scripture, with programs like Thursday Theology, an additional night of the week dedicated to expository teaching, as well as constantly keeping daily Bible reading at the forefront of the congregation’s minds.  Training programs, leadership meetings, and mentorship opportunities have empowered members to take active roles in ministry, enhancing their spiritual growth and fostering a culture of service. As ILC Riverside continues to expand, it remains committed to its mission of Magnifying Jesus and Making Disciples. With continued emphasis on prayerfully fostering powerful worship services, enriching fellowship, and ongoing discipleship, the church is poised for even greater impact in the months to come. The journey ahead looks promising, and the congregation is excited to see how God will continue to move in Riverside.  Thank you for your prayers and support! [...]

August 30, 2024Event Recap / GeneralThe recent fellowship held at the home of John and Maureen Alvarado on August 30th was truly a great time! With around 80 to 100 people in attendance, it was a wonderful mix of both newer members and those who have been part of the church for some time. August 25, 2024Event Recap / GeneralThis year’s Men and Boys Campout was a blast, with over 80 men and boys showing up for a great time together. The weather during the day was perfect, staying in the 70s, but when night hit, it dropped down into the high 40s—definitely a little chilly! Even with the cold nights, the camaraderie around the campfires made it all worth it.One of the best parts was gathering around the fire as Bro. Rowell led us in some old familiar songs. There’s something about singing together under the stars that just feels right—especially when you’re surrounded by good company.Saturday’s lunch was awesome! We had steak, homemade mashed potatoes and gravy, corn on the cob, potato salad, rolls, and cookie platters. Huge thanks to Bro Jake Martin, Bro Cruz, Bro Lomeli, and Bro Rowell for making that delicious meal happen.Overall, it was just so nice to relax, breathe in some fresh air, and hang out with our brothers. It’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of life, but weekends like this remind us how important it is to slow down and enjoy the simple things. We’re already looking forward to doing it all again next year! [...]
August 11, 2024Event Recap / GeneralThis past Sunday, our Sunday School classes had a great time teaching about choices and their consequences. We talking about the idea that good decisions often lead to positive outcomes, while poor choices can have unfavorable results. To illustrate this concept, we turned to biblical stories involving Naaman, Elisha, and Gehazi.Naaman, who listened to Elijah’s advice, experienced healing from leprosy. His wise choices paid off. On the other hand, Gehazi’s greed led him down a different path. His poor decisions resulted in the same leprosy that Naaman had been cured of.It was neat to see how our teachers creatively taught this message to students of all ages, from toddlers to 11-year-olds. After class, the bus ministry celebrated with a pizza party and cake.  Great Sunday all around! [...]
July 27, 2024Event Recap / GeneralWhat a fabulous time we had at Outback Rock VBS 2024! We ventured into the Australian outback where we learned that God’s love is monumental; if we hold fast to God and His truth, we can have unshakeable faith; and that God will never leave us nor forsake us! Every station was equipped with enthusiastic and creative staff. We started each night with songs where we learned about worshiping a faithful God. From there, we moved in different directions from the game station, missions room, snack shack, arts and crafts, and the Bible adventure room. In each one of these stations, the Bible verse of the day was taught and reinforced in a variety of ways. Every craft that was made had the verse of the day on it or with it and we learned how that craft helped to remind us of God’s love for us. The games were so much fun, and helped the kids to move their bodies so that their minds could focus on the interesting stories they heard in the missions room. When you entered the missions room, it felt like you were actually in the desert with a tent draped from the ceiling and camping gear set up inside. The snack area was a great place for everyone to rest and refresh themselves before they went for an exciting Bible adventure. The Bible adventure room was once again a great treat for everyone. Our Bible story teachers built a cave inside the classroom. When the kids entered, they walked through two giant pillars and were surrounded by realistic cave walls, stalactites, and bats. Every night a new story from the Bible was shared that showed the kids how big God’s love is for us, what it looks like to have unshakable faith, and that God will never leave us; in fact, He went to Calvary to save us! What an awesome God we serve! We ended this year with a fabulous kid’s service on Saturday where our team brought it all together and gave an altar call where everyone had an opportunity to meet that very God they had learned about all week. A big thank you to everyone that helped with VBS this year from decorations, set-up, food, crew leaders, station leaders, and all of the helpers that were there during VBS! You were a great blessing and it could not have been done without you! We are looking forward to VBS 2025! [...]
July 21, 2024Event Recap / GeneralWe rounded up children from all corners of the surrounding communities on our buses and they joined the ones that arrived with family. As they settled into our classrooms, we dove into an important topic: Families Are NOT Always Perfect. The Bible is full of family stories that make our modern-day dramas seem tame. Remember Jacob and his sons? Their sibling rivalries could rival any of today. And let’s not forget Abraham—two wives, two very different paths. But here’s the beautiful truth: Your family doesn’t have to be perfect for God to use you. In fact, God specializes in using imperfect vessels. He takes our messy, broken stories and creates something extraordinary. Our Sunday School class was electric. Kids leaned in, wide-eyed, as we explored these family sagas. We laughed and we discovered that God shines brightest in our weaknesses. Each class was followed by a great time of prayer! Our teachers are many times the unsung heroes—the ones who patiently teach these young people. They’re the storytellers, the prayer warriors and the ones that take the time to create an amazing environment each Sunday which can take a lot of time and work. Their dedication makes every Sunday School special. See you next Sunday at ILC! [...]
