Memorial Day at Martin Tudor Park | May 26, 2025
What do you get when you mix sunshine, sizzling BBQ, friendly competition, and a whole lot of Apostolics? You get one incredible Memorial Day picnic!
This year’s annual Inland Lighthouse Church picnic at Martin Tudor Park in Fontana was the biggest and best yet, over 350 people showed up ready to eat, laugh, play, and just enjoy being together. Families brought their lawn chairs and coolers, kids dashed between games, and the sound of laughter echoed from one end of the park to the other. There were games of softball (both kids and adults), volleyball, and plenty of spontaneous fun happening in every direction.
And there was plenty of food! Everywhere you looked, someone was grilling something delicious, and just about everyone was sharing with everyone else. Carne asada here, hot dogs over there, some mystery casserole that turned out to be amazing, we were spoiled.
The park was full of people you know, love, and maybe just met. Apostolics were spread out all over the place, and it was an awesome sight to see. Seriously, if you’ve never been, you have to make plans for next year. Go ahead, open your calendar and block off Memorial Day.
A huge thank you to everyone who made this day possible, especially Bro. Kenny Lorenz for reserving the park, Logan Booker for wrangling all the sports gear, and the many others who helped behind the scenes. We appreciate you!
Let’s do it again next year, same park, same time, even more fun.
