Junior Camp Recap | June 22-26, 2026
What a week!
Junior Camp 2026 is officially in the books, and it was one of those weeks that campers and staff will be talking about for a long time. This year’s theme was “You Matter to God,” and Evangelist Tyler Hodge did an outstanding job bringing that message home throughout the week.
The greatest highlight of all was seeing around 10 young people receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. There is nothing more exciting than watching lives changed, and those moments alone made the entire week worthwhile.
Of course, camp was also packed with fun from start to finish. Our mad scientist theme came to life with daily skits featuring some hilariously unsuccessful inventions, treasure hunts all over the campground, swimming, inflatable axe throwing, the always-popular dunk tank, Cabin of the Day competitions, Dirty Sock awards, and plenty of other surprises throughout the week. There was never a dull moment.
We spent the week at Camp MorningStar in Angelus Oaks, and while everyone came home completely exhausted, it was the kind of tired that comes from investing in young people and seeing God do great things.
A huge thank you to all of our counselors, staff, cooks, nurses, and volunteers who gave so much of their time and energy to make the week a success. Camp simply wouldn’t happen without them.
If your child has never experienced Junior Camp, we encourage you to put it on the calendar for next year. Camp is open to children ages 7 to 13, and it is an unforgettable week filled with friendships, fun, and opportunities to grow closer to God. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
