Ladies Christmas Brunch | Dec 7, 2024

Last Saturday, the ladies enjoyed a holly, jolly progressive brunch hosted by two of
ILC’s finest. The festivities began at Sis. Jana McVay’s home where time was spent
enjoying mini quiche, assorted decadent danishes, along with two choices of refreshing
beverages of cranberry, orange infused water and vibrant flavored pineapple, orange
juice cocktails.

The women then traveled full steam ahead to the final destination of Pastor and Sis.
Erica Booker’s house. A delicious feast awakened our taste buds with a classic Mexican
dish of chilaquiles of fried corn tortillas simmered in a brothy sauce, topped with fried
eggs, cheese and more. Crispy home style breakfast potatoes and salad completed the
lavish spread. Beverage choices included an array of coffee, a hot chocolate station
with a variety of toppings, tropical fruit infused water and flavored tea.

Both homes evoked the spirit of the Christmas season with magical Christmas
decorations indoors and outdoors. Stunning garland on the mantel, glimmering lights,
ornaments and ribbon decked trees, along with a snowy Christmas village that captured
our imagination.

Although the food was sumptuous, the fellowship was a time of joy, celebration and
togetherness. At the end of the meal, Sis. Jana led the group in singing Christmas
songs celebrating the birth of Jesus. The festivities concluded with a raffle where
several gifts here handed out to deserving women.

As the day drew to an end, we were reminded Jesus is the reason for the season. The
day is coming where we will join not only our church family but believers from every
tribe, tongue and nation in the worship of our great God.
