The Bible Quiz season has commenced, and we are pleased to announce the  results of the first tournament. The Novice tournament, restricted to quizzers who have never before participated in a tournament, was held in Selma, CA on January 25th.

Two ILC teams were represented. The Junior Team consisted of Ellison Stevens and two quizzers from Shafter and Hayward. The Intermediate Team was comprised of Andrew Cruz and Joshua Cruz.

The Junior Team performed well, with Ellison answering several questions correctly. The Intermediate Team lost their first game but recovered to win three consecutive games and earn third place in the tournament.

In terms of individual scoring, Andrew quizzed out in two of the games. In another game, Rialto needed to answer 3 of the last 4 questions correctly to win, and Andrew answered all three to secure the victory. Andrew was the Novice Tournament scoring champion for the Intermediate division.

Bible Quizzing is also holding a Valentine’s Day fundraiser, selling chocolate dipped strawberries to support our teams. ILC has been generous, and we appreciate your support in this fundraiser as well.
