Bible Quiz Tournament Recap | Feb 21, 2026
The Rialto Bible quiz teams competed at a tournament in Bakersfield last weekend, leaving church at 7 AM on Friday and returning around 9:30 PM on Saturday. Rialto brought nine teams with a total of 35 quizzers to join 57 teams and over 150 quizzers overall.
The teams, coaches, and quizzers were as follows:
- Beginner Team: Coaches Danny Tirado and Josh Artishon; quizzers Sebastian Martinez and Benjamin Lomelli.
- Junior Teams: Coaches Gorge Santiago, Audrey Arnett, and Leslie Montoya.
- Rialto 1: Alex Santiago, Eliana Serna, Riley Coggins, Johnny Cardenas, and Marilyn Booker.
- Rialto 2: Victor Molina, Aiden Estrada, Aubrey Estrada, and Aubrey Ramirez.
- Intermediate Teams: Coaches Sarah Tirado, Melanie Ruiz, Dallas Reighard, Danny Tirado Jr., Natalya Booker and Trystan Booker.
- Rialto 1: Zane Dillon, Andrick Olvera, Dawson Booker, and Daxon Reighard.
- Rialto 2: Anthony Lopez, Josh Cruz, Cody Arnett, Josh Molina, and Fernando Cardenas.
- Rialto 3: Dianna Taylor, Avelyn Booker, Camila Canales, and Kristen Dillon.
- Experienced Teams: Coaches Kim Ramos, Denae Reighard, Julian and Kim Estrada, Sarah Booker and Erika Tirado
- Rialto 1: Isiah Vargas, Landry Booker, Sebastian Echeverria, and Ryan Lee.
- Rialto 2: Trenton Booker, Chris Santiago, and Olivia Schnepp.
- Rialto 3: Elayna Booker, Andrew Cruz, Wyatt Dillon, and Peyton Booker.
During the tournament, all the teams performed very well with many of the games coming down to the last question. In the Junior division, Rialto 1 placed 5th out of 16 teams, led by Alex Santiago as the 8th highest scorer overall. In the Experienced division, Rialto 1 earned 2nd place with Isiah Vargas ranking as the 5th highest scorer overall and Rialto 3 went undefeated to claim 1st place, highlighted by Elayna Booker as the 2nd highest scorer overall and Andrew Cruz as the 6th highest scorer.
The next tournament takes place March 20–21 in Rialto, less than three weeks away—come out to support the local teams and prepare to be impressed!
