The Bible Quizzing Regional Finals in Bakersfield on June 5-6, 2026, served as a testament to the incredible hard work and dedication our quizzers have poured into this season. It was a weekend filled with competition and fellowship, highlighting just how far everyone has come since our first tournament.

This event marked the conclusion of our regional tournaments for 2026. While it is bittersweet to see the regional season end, the journey isn’t over yet. We now turn our full focus toward the PEAK national tournament this coming July, which stands as the final event remaining on our calendar.

We were well-represented by a deep roster of talent across several divisions. The Beginner Team included Sebastian Martinez and Johnny White. The Junior Team featured Alex Santiago, Eliana Serna, and Marilyn Booker. Intermediate Team 1 was comprised of Zane Dillon, Anthony Lopez, and Andrick Olvera, while Intermediate Team 2 consisted of Cody Arnett, Dawson Booker, Daxon Reighard, and Josh Cruz. Our Experienced division saw two teams as well: Experienced Team 1 with Isiah Vargas, Chris Santiago, Sebastian Echeverria, and Wyatt Dillon, and Experienced Team 2 with Elayna Booker, Trenton Booker, Andrew Cruz, Olivia Schnepp, and Landry Booker.

Our teams made their mark this weekend with some standout performances. The Juniors secured a solid 4th place finish, with Alex Santiago and Eliana Serna earning recognition as the 3rd and 7th highest individual scorers, respectively. Intermediate Team 1 had an outstanding run to take 2nd place overall, led by Zane Dillon in 2nd and Anthony Lopez in 5th place among the top scorers. Experienced Team 1 also performed remarkably well, claiming 3rd place as a team with Isiah Vargas finishing as the 6th highest individual scorer. Beyond the tournament standings, we celebrated some special year-end honors: Zane Dillon was named the Intermediate Quizzer of the Year, and Gorge and Kim Santiago were recognized as the Junior Coaches of the Year for their exceptional leadership and mentorship.
