Men’s Breakfast | May 23, 2026
This year’s Men’s Breakfast was an incredible time of fellowship, food, laughter, and encouragement. Around 90 men and boys gathered together for a morning that somehow managed to feel both relaxed and meaningful at the same time. Good food has a way of bringing people together, and this breakfast definitely proved that once again.
A huge thank you goes to Sister Carlene and Nila Marxer for sacrificing their time and preparing such an amazing meal for everyone. The breakfast featured a loaded egg casserole packed with bacon, sausage, potatoes, and just about every other good thing you could imagine mixed into it. As if that was not enough, they also made homemade Dutch-style cinnamon rolls that disappeared at a speed that honestly should probably be studied scientifically. Add in fresh strawberries, bananas, desserts, and more, and it quickly became obvious that nobody was leaving hungry.
Judging by the completely empty serving tables afterward, the breakfast was a success on every possible level. Not a single crumb seemed to survive the morning.
Beyond the food, though, it was simply a great time for men and boys from Inland Lighthouse Church to spend time together, talk, laugh, and strengthen friendships. Brother Rowell shared a short word of encouragement with the men that added a meaningful focus to the morning and challenged everyone to continue building one another up.
We are thankful for everyone who helped make the breakfast possible, and we are already looking forward to the next one. Hopefully with just slightly more cinnamon rolls next time.
