Soul Sisters Event | April 18, 2026

Soul Sisters Ministry hosted a beautiful afternoon on Saturday, April 18, 2026, with the theme “Tea with the Queen in the King’s Palace.” About forty ladies gathered together, including several first-time guests, filling the room with warmth, laughter, and anticipation.

The afternoon began with a simple “left-right” story that had everyone exchanging teacups back and forth, only to end up right where they started… before passing them one more time to the left. It was light, it was fun, and it set the tone for what the day would become. Once everyone settled in with their tea, it was time to turn our attention to what mattered most.

Sister Delaney Reighard brought a powerful and timely message. She focused on our relationship with God, reminding us from 1 Peter 5:7 that we can cast every care on Him. She drew our attention to Mary sitting at Jesus’ feet, choosing His presence over everything else, and challenged us to do the same. Not just to serve God, but to love Him. To spend time with Him. To recognize that we are His beloved. And one simple but powerful reminder stood out, God doesn’t just love us… He likes us.

The moment continued as Sister Delaney led everyone in “Oh, How He Loves You and Me.” The presence of God filled the room in a real and tangible way. It wasn’t rushed. It wasn’t forced. It was just right.

Then came the food, and it matched the spirit of the day perfectly. Sister Bridget Gamble, with help from Sister M. Thomas, prepared a thoughtful and delicious spread: chicken salad croissants, cucumber dill sandwiches, and pasta salad. She added a special touch with her chocolate-covered strawberry cream-filled croissants, which quickly became a favorite. Sister Nila Marxer completed the table with fresh blueberry scones, lemon curd, and Devonshire cream. Every detail was intentional. Every bite was enjoyed.

The room itself was just as special. Ladies came dressed for the occasion, hats, gloves, and spring attire that brought the theme to life. It felt elegant, joyful, and full of connection. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the day what it was.

Moments like this don’t just happen. They’re built through effort, love, and a desire to bring people together, and that’s exactly what took place.

The next Soul Sisters event will be a brunch at Porto’s Bakery & Café on Saturday, May 16, 2026. The group will meet at 9:30 AM in the ILC parking lot to carpool.

If you’re looking for a place to grow spiritually, build friendships, and connect with other ladies, make plans to be there, and bring someone with you.
