Inland Lighthouse Church had a fantastic Sunday morning, focusing on its Sunday school and bus ministry.

The bus ministry, the Holy Ghost Riders, picked up 116 children, making sure everyone felt welcome and Bro Danny Tirado put together the Gentlemen’s corner to give the young men apostolic clothing and WOW… it was a BIG HIT!

Over 180 people gathered in the fellowship hall for the Sunday superclass which marked the largest number we believe we have ever seen!

Thanks to the hard work of various church teams, the day ran smoothly. The breakfast team ensured everyone had a good meal, greeting teams extended a friendly welcome, Sunday school classes taught in an exciting and memorable manner, and the bus ministry reached out to the community.

What a great day!

This last Saturday we had the SCC Men’s meeting, drawing together a diverse assembly of hundreds of apostolic men from all around Southern California. This gathering was an occasion rich with incredible music, inspiring sermons, a powerful altar call, and the warmth of a great shared meal.

The highlight of the day was the incredible preaching by Bishop Leon Frost and Pastor Ted Erskine and after a great altar call, everyone came together for an incredible dinner thanks to Sis Marcella Thomas.

Thank you to everyone that contributed to make this event possible.

On Saturday, October 7, 2012, The Soul Sisters hosted a Paint Party and Potluck. Our own Soul Sister artiste, Mary Yoder who instructed, demonstrated and assisted us with designing our own individualized canvas. Throughout the evening we nibbled on fruit, cheese, crackers and sandwiches, then spent a moment to celebrate Sis. Monica’ Birthday.

The evening truly presented a time of food, fun and fellowship for all those attending.

On Wednesday October 4, 2023, a group of Soul Sister met at ILC to caravan to Pismo Beach California for a three-day getaway.

One of the stops on the way was to the beautiful city of Solvang, a famous historic Danish town. The group spent a few hours exploring the quaint Danish gift shops, then tasted the delicious Aebleskiver served with raspberry jam and dusted with powdered sugar before heading onward to Pismo Beach.

Reaching Pismo Beach, the group arrived at the famous Sea Gypsy hotel enjoying the rest of the week relaxing, eating, fellowshipping, etc.  Once in Pismo Beach the Soul Sisters had their own tour guide, Sister Marlene Lorenza lead the way to visit the sights of Monarch Butterfly Grove, famous Arroyo Grande Lighthouse, watching the sunset at Pismo Beach and exploring caves/crevasses. The group dined from various Pismo Beach eateries feasting on specialties such as Splash Café for the best clam chowder, Avila Valley Barn for cold apple cider pops Madonna Inn to see and taste the famous champaign cake, Old West Cinnamon Rolls for the biggest and best cinnamon rolls. Finally, the group headed home but had one last stop in Ventura for a short time of shopping and Italian dinner. I can say the Soul Sister 1st Annual Getaway was tremendous but don’t take my word for it, here are a few more followed by pictures.

Sister Karen Ramos, “It all started with prayer at the church for a safe trip. We were all excited with the anticipation of our journey. The drive to Solvang and time spent there was fun and tasty. Our recent inGroup gathering was a great evening with good food and close friends, embracing the fall season. We kicked things off with a feast that included various soups, appetizers, and desserts, all capturing the essence of autumn.

One of the highlights of the night was an intense game of spoons, filled with competitiveness and lots of laughter. The atmosphere was welcoming and filled with camaraderie as we connected, shared stories, and simply enjoyed each other’s company.

We want to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us, making it a special night. We look forward to seeing more familiar faces at our future events, creating more lasting memories together.

On September 24, 2023, the students of ILC Sunday School delved into the timeless Bible story of Isaac and Rebekah and witnessed a powerful altar call that left a lasting impact.

The focus of this Sunday school was the biblical narrative of Isaac and Rebekah, a story that has been cherished for generations. Isaac, the son of Abraham, and Rebekah, his chosen wife, exemplify faith, trust, and divine providence. Their story is a testament to God’s intricate plan and guidance in the lives of His people.

The Sunday school teachers skillfully unpacked the story, drawing parallels between the challenges faced by Isaac and Rebekah and the trials that individuals encounter in their own lives. Attendees were captivated as they explored the importance of seeking God’s guidance in their journeys.

As the Sunday school session came to a close, the kids gathered for the altar call. The teachings from the story of Isaac and Rebekah had stirred the hearts of many in attendance. Tears flowed as kids came forward. God did great things!

We are thankful for another great day of children’s ministry at ILC.

The 5th annual Judah Effect Worship Workshop, held on September 15th and 16th, was a deep time of consecration and encouragement. We were blessed to have Sis. Dedie Cooley from Normandy, TX deliver two life changing messages about being used of God and for our worship to be pure and honest. Pastor Josh Winkler of Surprise, AZ was also a special speaker and truly delivered a message of encouragement. Our other amazing clinicians were Sis. Nalani Gallardo from Chula Vista, Pastor Johnny Walker from Yucaipa, Sis. Erica Marxer from Little Rock, AR, and our very own Bro. Albert Menzies, Sis. Kacey Lynn Clark, Bro. Gentry DeCosta, Sis. Sarah Booker, Bro. Seth Clark, and Sis. Jana McVay.

Our attendees were blessed to have five tracks to choose from during breakout sessions. These tracks covered vocal technique, band dynamics, leadership training, sound and media technology, and songwriting. One of the band track sessions was a class where multiple clinicians taught attendees “How to Teach Others” in their local assemblies. Attendees who participated in the songwriting workshop left with two original songs well on the way to completion.

Our attendees also were blessed to join with the churches of the Southern California Commission for SoCal Sings, a night of worship featuring a multi-church worship team and groups from California City, Calimesa, Redlands, and Rialto. There was also a quartet that sang comprised of singers from Northridge, Oildale, Lake Isabella, and Rialto.

A special thank you to all of our volunteers who helped make the workshop a success: Cherish Cooley and Lindsey Moore who came with Sis. Cooley, Corinna Choske, Kim Martin, Josefa Chavez, Roman Stevens, Becky Serna, Pablo Farfan, Lauren DeCosta, Ashley Bennet, Zeke Leyva, Beatriz Gonzalez, Trenton Booker, Breanna Hinkley, Joshua Artishon, Frenchie Stevens, Danny Tirado, Sabrina Tirado, Erika Tirado, Maddie Lorenz, Elsy Galindo, Justina Anguiano, Kenzie Lorenz, Sarah Booker, Sarah Jasso, Amanda Thomas, Seth Clark, and Gentry DeCosta. Our volunteers helped with set up, registration, food preparation, recording sessions, attending to our clinicians, and so much more. Marissa and Jessica McVay were a huge blessing in making sure that the workshop ran smoothly by helping with all the planning and overseeing the execution of the event.

God is doing wonderful things at ILC Riverside through the growing number of members and ministries. The intensity of His presence can’t be quantified by human metrics, but we are continually in awe of how God continues to move and work miracles on behalf of His people.

By way of update, here are a few things that we have measured that speak to only a fraction of His works:

  • 12 baptized in Jesus’ Name this year
  • 20 filled with the Spirit for the first time
  • 16 teachers are conducting 36 Bible studies with over 80 students
  • 36 recorded miracles this year
  • Our Sunday average attendance has increased 24% over last year and our midweek attendance has grown by 51%.
  • We just celebrated surpassing our $70k goal in the building fund.

If you’ve played any part in any of that (and many of you have indeed), we’d like to express our deepest appreciation for your generosity, prayers, and support over the last four years. We give God glory for powerfully reviving His church in Riverside! It truly is #revivaltimeinriverside.
