What great services we had last Sunday!  Pastor Jerry Rowley from Laurel, MS, preached to us and what a time we had!

Sunday night was the renewal of our building fund pledges, and God did a great work!  We are set to completely pay off the current building mortgage by November of this year, and pay towards the new auditorium as well!

People were praying in the altars after both services, and several were filled with the Holy Ghost including a young girl in Sunday School. Pastor baptized someone in the beautiful name of Jesus. God has been so very good to Inland Lighthouse!

2022 is already upon us!  2021 seems like a blur in retrospect but we are looking forward to the new possibilities and excitement the new year brings with it.

Inland Lighthouse Church loves our children and we strive to provide them with the very best in the way of teaching each Sunday morning.  We have breakfast provided from 9:30am until 9:55am followed by exciting teaching in a variety of methods from puppets to skits to object lessons.  We play games, sing songs, give Sunday School dollars they can spend in the store and more!

More than anything however, we want to give these children the biblical teaching they need to get their lives started correctly!  To that end we are starting off the year with our Apostolic Foundational series where we cover the importance of the Word of God, the Plan of Salvation, One God, Holiness and more!  This is to make sure that our children understand what the Word of God says about these core, vital doctrinal subjects.

We have classes for everyone from 2 years old up to college and career for if you haven’t yet tried it out, come on over to our check-in area outside by the coffee shop and we will get you all taken care of!

Looking forward to an exciting year!

What a great ChristmasFest we had!  With over 770 people in attendance, we listened to incredible singing from many groups along with instrumentals, story time with Bishop and more.

But the night was NOT just entertainment because, as it has so many times in the past, the spirit of God fell and two people were filled with the Holy Ghost!  God is so good!

Thank you to everyone that worked so hard to make this night a success.  Of course for the many practices but also for the reaching out and invite guests to attend.  We are so thankful for the ILC music team and for what God did!

The Forever Group had a great Christmas party for the 40-54 year age group at the Rowell’s house on Saturday, December 11.  There were crazy good burritos cooked by Jake Martin along with nearly every type of Christmas dessert under the sun.

The house and backyard were packed with people and the sock exchange was a lot of fun as well.  Thank you to everyone who made it happen!

Bustling, energetic, fun and very well attended are all good descriptors of the InGroup party held last Friday night.  There was an estimated attendance of around 100 people with kids outside playing basketball, on the trampoline and on jungle gym, adults around the double fire pits in the backyard, playing games on the porch, around the dining room table, huddled in the kitchen and all over the living room.  It was chaotic and wonderful!

We had several great soups which were perfect for the weather along with pizza, drinks and desserts for days.  The highlight of the night however, was the zany white elephant gift exchange with Lauren Decosta being the star of the show receiving a string of hilarious gifts, a story you have to hear if you haven’t already.

Thank you to EVERYONE that attended!  It was truly a great time of fellowship, camaraderie and festive spirit.  We got to know some people for the first time and others even more than before.  We cannot wait until next year!

Last weekend was an exciting if busy time at ILC.  We had our youth bake sale, a Pathfinders’ BBQ fundraiser and our annual Thanksgiving dinner and Sunday School.  It was a fun if somewhat hectic time.

The pathfinder group, for those unacquainted, is for our young men to develop skills that will give them a good foundation living for God and for being the strong and capable men a healthy church needs.  In the past they have done many things from hikes to learning about framing and electricity, how to fix a car and this weekend, how to prepare, smoke and serve high-end pulled pork BBQ.

They came in early Saturday morning and met with Bro James Thomas and learned about seasoning, making BBQ sauce and starting and running the smoker. They put the meat on to cook and many of these young men stayed all day long until 6pm when they pulled the meat off and began to prep it for the next day.  On Sunday they made pork sliders and sold them to the church members where votes were cast for the best grill masters!  Thank you Bro Caleb Pierce and Bro Thomas for making this fun event take place.

On the Sunday School side there was a lot going on as they served over 200 kids and adults while also have revolving Sunday School.  They had a lesson area, a game area, a story / skit area and of course, the food area.  Four groups were formed and traveled to each of these locations learning about being thankful and of course, eating Thanksgiving dinner.  This was following with LOTS of giveaways in the Spanish sanctuary.

This was HUGE undertaking and we are so thankful for the MANY people that made it happen but notably the Tirado family and company for prepping the food, running the kitchen, serving and cleanup and to Sis Marcella for coming in clutch with food prep!

We have so much to be thankful for this year.  God has been so good to Inland Lighthouse Church!

The Soul Sisters group of Inland Lighthouse Church Soul Sisters, headed up by Sis Marcella Thomas and Sis Christine Moore, is a group that provides strength for single mothers, widows and any other ladies who want to join for the opportunity to fellowship, and to pray together.  This group meets regularly for all kinds of events and the most recent was a great gathering celebrating Thanksgiving!

There was great food of all kinds but most of all there was a great atmosphere of fellowship where connections were made, friendships formed and an overall great time was had by all in attendance.

Thank you to everyone who attended, to those who provided the food and to those that made this great even possible.  Don’t miss the next one coming up… details will be provided in later bulletins.

Recently in Riverside, we celebrated 2 years of a daughter work, but 80 years since Apostolic Truth was first preached there. The 80th Legacy Celebration weekend was absolutely incredible.

After some Old Time Pentecostal worship, Bishop Kenny Godair started it off on Friday night by preaching the “Power of God’s Word”. After service, the ILC Spanish congregation provided a fabulous meal for everyone. Saturday morning Bishop Booker preached “Redigging the Wells” and Bishop Godair followed that up with a convicting message entitled “Four Keys to Soul-winning”.

There was such a sweet, lingering presence of God after the morning service that it seemed no one wanted to leave. Saturday night was definitely the highlight with a packed house and great expectation. Bro Cody Marks preached “Especially the Parchments” and so beautifully tied together Riverside’s past, present, and future. The service was incredibly monumental for us and the atmosphere was electric with Holy Ghost power. One lady was instantly healed of back and knee pain she had endured for months and the next afternoon was dancing in the altar.

Bro Cody Marks preached again on Sunday afternoon and didn’t even get very far into his message before God started moving. One lady was rolling on the floor, talking in tongues and shaking under the power of the Spirit. Many others were renewed in the Holy Ghost. We are so grateful to God for what He is doing, to ILC Rialto for backing this endeavor, and to all those involved in this weekend from musicians and singers to the kitchen and cleaning crew. The wall is being rebuilt because the people have a mind to work! If you’d like to hear the messages or watch the intro slideshow, visit our website (www.inlandlighthouse.com/riverside). Photos and video clips of the services are posted to Instagram & Facebook (@ilcriverside).

Momentum Youth Ministry put on a girl’s event where we gather for a time of food, fun, and fellowship. We were truly blessed by the devotional led by Sis. Eunice Pierce on how to be “A Well Watered Young Woman.” Sis. Eunice touched on important topics crucial to spiritual and personal development, using scripture See Photo, Wisdom, and pivotal moment in her walk with God. One of the ending topics discussed was being a “speaker of grace..” This focused on building each other up with our words rather than tearing one another down. The topic was followed by an activity where each girl was given a blank paper with only their name on it, and each paper with the individual’s name was passed around the table to a different girl. Each girl was asked to write one nice thing about the person whose name was on the paper. At the end of the activity many girls discussed their surprise and not realizing the positive impacts they have had on another girl at the table. It was a fun and insightful activity. The girls ended the night by painting pumpkins, eating, laughing, and doing French twist hair styles. The girls know how to have a good time!

This past weekend close to 40 guys were able to cash in on their Summer Offering Challenge win with an overnight trip to Pismo Beach. The trip included a stay at the Sea Gypsy Hotel right on the water, a stop at Gospel Lighthouse in Arroyo Grande where Bishop Booker pastored for several years, and lots of food and fun.

Also, a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to everyone who gave during the Summer Offering Challenge to help offset the cost for our youth events!
